Ojén – Mondas – Puerto Banús

The visit will begin with a breakfast in Ojén, after which we will set a course for Monda, a beautiful town located in the region of Sierra de las Nieves that has been declared Scenic Site, Historic Site and Property of Cultural Interest. We will visit the castle Castillo de Al-Mundat, which stands on the hill Cerro de la Veleta, the church Iglesia de Santiago Apóstol, the fountains Fuente de la Jaula, Fuente de la Vida and Mea-Mea, this last is placed in an Arabian oratory dated from the sixteenth century, the altar Altar del Calvario, the monument dedicated to the Carbonero (coalman), the hermitage Ermita de San Roque (in Alpujata), the museum and library Museo-Biblioteca Mari Gloria Tapio and the exhibition hall Sala de Exposiciones Bóveda.

Right after, we will eat lunch in a typical local restaurant in Ojén and we will visit this town of Moorish layout, located in the biosphere reserve of Sierra de las Nieves and inhabited since the Paleolithic era. We will go for a walk in the old town, where the Roman and Arabian remains are found, the anise distillery (the new wine museum) and the museum Museo del Molino de Aceite, whose facilities are also the venue for sculpture, photography and painting exhibitions.

Our last destination will be Puerto Banús, a great marina located in the city of Marbella that has berths for 915 yachts and recreational crafts, as well as numerous restaurants and entertainment facilities.
