CANILLAS DE ACEITUNO – PERIANA

The visit begins with a breakfast in Canillas de Aceituno and continues in the most popular places of the town, such as the church Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Rosario, the Muslim remains of the castle and the houses Casa de los Diezmos or Casa de la Reina Mora.

We will visit the dam Embalse de la Viñuela, which is built in the riverbed of Guaro river and, covering 170 cubic hectometers, is the largest of Málaga. We will take a tour amongst the thousand-year- old olive trees, orange trees and avocado pear trees that remains in this place and, next, we will go all over the narrow and winding streets of Periana. This town can boast about being the best natural amphitheater of Europe. We will visit the old washing place and the oil cooperative Cooperativa Aceitera San Isidro, where we will be able to enjoy a tasting.

The lunch will take place in a typical local restaurant of the area.
